	To achieve its mission, HIP Housing provides Home Sharing, Self-Sufficiency, and Property Development.

HIP Housing was founded in 1972 to initiate programs to assist the disadvantaged and disabled living within San Mateo County.

HIP Housing is governed by a Board of Directors made up of community leaders. Funding is provided by the County of San Mateo, various cities in the county, private donations from caring individuals, as well as businesses and foundations. Volunteers help with generous donations of their time, skills, and services.

HIP Housing has a dedicated staff of 17 employees who work diligently to help improve the quality of life for those in need in San Mateo County.
