Propery Development

HIP Housing and its affiliate organizations develop new and acquire existing housing for use by HIP Housing's programs or other income-qualified persons in the community. HHDC (HIP Housing Development Corporation), a HIP Housing affiliate, is a recognized Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) and, therefore, eligible for certain federal funding earmarked specifically for housing development.

HIP Housing works with local jurisdictions to identify, acquire, and rehabilitate existing multi-family properties. Each acquisition project is designed to expand the pool of affordable housing and improve the quality of life for its residents through property upgrades and maintenance. HIP Housing and HHDC projects provide safe, secure housing for low- to moderate-income persons and families.
